We report a case of a 8-year-old boy with a palpable mass on the anterior part of the neck. The thyroid nodules present a high risk of malignancy in pediatric patients. The child was admitted to our clinic for clinical analyses and instrumental investigation. Clinical examination of the neck focused on the thyroid nodules and gland itself. Biochemical assessment was not pathologic. Ultrasonography showed dyshormonogenesis and nodules on the left and right lobes and on the apex. The fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) established benign nature of the nodule. The patient was treated with levotyroxine and needed simple annual followup to detect changes in the nodule size and thyroid function.
