COMMUNICATION AS A STRATEGIC ASPECT OF VACCINATION

Communication is a fundamental aspect in vaccination programmes. This aspect has been recently highlighted by the data collected during the counselling courses promoted in 2005 by the Veneto Region, in cooperation with the Institute for Systemic Counselling Change, with the aim of training the personnel of vaccination centres and family paediatricians. The Authors emphasize the importance of education in the field of communication and consider counselling as a pivotal tool in order to switch from vaccination as an obligation to vaccination as an agreed and informed choice of the family.
