PAEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGY IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM

Key words: Dermatology, Emergency room, Dermatitis, Traditional beliefs

Report of six “dermatologic” cases who attended the emergency room. In 2 cases a rare kind of contact dermatitis was present, while in the other cases the problem was related to traditional beliefs or to inappropriate (excessive) care given to the body image. Cutaneous problems sometimes can reflect the social and cultural context of the child.
