Double aortic arch (DAA) is a rare congenital vascular malformation that forms a ring around the oesophagus and trachea, with a prevalence of 0.005% and chromosomal abnormalities associated in only 24% of cases. The most common symptoms are noisy breathing and persistent cough, often misdiagnosed as primary respiratory diseases. The paper describes a clinical case diagnosed prenatally, analysed in light of the most recent literature, to identify management and follow-up strategies.
