A case of acute respiratory distress with hypoxia in a 28-day-newborn presenting with the symptoms of bronchiolitis during an epidemic period is described. The persistence of the symptoms associated with a radiological picture of the chest showing hypertransparency of the upper lobe of the left lung with deviation of the mediastinum to the right and atelectasia of the front part of the right upper lobe of the lung is interpreted as a complication of bronchiolitis caused by an obstruction due to mucus. For this reason, firstly a bronchoscopy was performed and then a pulmonary CAT that enabled to diagnose a rare pulmonary malformation which was revealed thanks to bronchiolitis.
