NARRATIVE APPROACH AND CARE RELATIONSHIP IN PAEDIATRICS

A difficult diagnosis, the birth of a child with a serious disease, symptoms that make fear or suspect a health problem should be managed by allowing and leading the narration by the parents and, when it is possible, by the child. Such an approach allows the paediatrician to define and build a common and shared space, a means of knowledge and care, a chance that helps make clear some sides of a complicated reality, in which the paediatrician enters, whether willing or not.
