A DIAGNOSIS ON THE PHONE

We report the case of a 3-year-old male who presented, during viral gastroenteritis epidemic peak, with vomiting and abdominal pain. He had no fever or diarrhoea. His mother told us that her son was lethargic and he had abdominal pain crises. We sent the patient to the emergency unit where he underwent ultrasound that revealed the diagnosis of intestinal intussusception. He was operated on immediately.
