THE ORGANISATION OF PAEDIATRIC PRACTICE IN ITALY: STEPS TOWARDS QUALITY

The steps taken in a group paediatric practice to improve quality of care are described. Among these a first part of the article deals with the following: clear definition of criteria for access, written information about the various services that are provided, development of criteria for telephone phone advice and for domiciliary visits, provision of nurse support for health education, organisation of well child visits and of consultations for patients with chronic diseases, netwoking with other health and social services for patients with special needs.
